F_RM began as a shape. The outline of a window, taken from the Windows series, became a mark, and the mark needed something to stand for.

What it stands for is an institution that does not yet exist. One name, three businesses, told apart by a single missing letter. Farm is the everyday: a shop, a café, a restaurant, furniture. Firm is the exhibition side, the gallery and its identity. Form is the institution proper: a university, a website, an archive of objects.

Gallery, school, foundation, residency. The proposal is deliberately broad, a structure meant to support the work, the conversation around it and the people making it. The identity repeats what the windows did, from the other side: an empty frame, waiting to be filled.
