Thirty Five mm Film and Minolta's SRT-101 in the Lower East Side. The title is also the contents: Wikipedia articles on the format, the camera and the neighbourhood, interleaved with photographs made with that camera, on that film, in that neighbourhood.

Encyclopaedia text is written to be neutral. Set beside personal photographs it starts to read as a caption, and the photographs start to read as evidence. Between them a small story assembles itself: what film is, what this camera does, where it was pointed.

The table of contents is drawn in dots and breaks, each run loosely sized to the amount of content in its section, and repeated on every chapter opening. The cover hides and reveals in the same way the photographs do, showing the neighbourhood in pieces.
